I didn't have any timewalking gear for this one. It was definitely the easiest of the seven challenges for me-maybe 15 pulls to kill. It took me about 150 pulls to kill, and it was totally worth the time in December 2021. Other talents were Brambles, Wild Charge, Incarnation, Survival of the Fittest, and Rend and Tear. Talent wise, I took Balance Affinity and Heart of the Wild, and popped HotW at the start of phase 1. Ravaged Seed Pod is the MVP trinket here-it helps with the little adds, and it helps on Kruul.
I found it helpful to save Incarnation, drums, and the potion for shortly before the third tank buster-it gave me some time to get settled at the start of the phase, and the 30% extra max health from Incarnation really helps survivability later on. I had about half a set of timewalking gear, and even with drums and a Potion of Unbridled Fury, it was a close call when I killed Kruul-I used two Holy Wards to blind him near the end, and I think he was only a few seconds from one-shotting me with the next tank buster. I did this one as Guardian Druid, and it was definitely the most difficult of the seven challenges for me. Practice and planning is much more helpful than watching videos or reading guides. Covenant armor bonuses may also be helpful. Ravaged Seed Pod and Unblinking Gaze of Sethe are really good trinkets. TL DR: I did Guardian, Fury, Destruction, Frost DK, Ret, Frost Mage, Holy Pally. I quit during Legion and never touched the original versions of any of these challenges, so I was essentially learning each one as I went. I'd like to share my experience with the mage tower for those who are working on their mount, or thinking about giving it a try.
